Bing in Blackberry

“Blackberry devices will use Bing as the preferred search provider in the browser, and Bing will be the default search and map application for new devices presented to mobile operators, both in the United States and internationally. Also, effective today Bing will be the preferred search and maps applications with regular, featured placement and promotion in the BlackBerry App World carousel.” said Matt Dahlin – Director, Bing

  1. Bing will be the default search engine! I don't think this will entice people as most people prefer Google instead! Anyways in computers Microsoft offers Internet Explorer as the default browser which people nowadays don't even use. So, in mobile phones, if Blackberry has taken such decision then, what else can we expect!

  2. @Destiny : Hmmm may be you are right. But there are things we have to consider. Bing is showing more accurate results than Google.See my post. Also now Facebook search is completely enhanced by BING. ing bar also includes fb results which results in social search. So there is a probability of success. In case of IE, it is opposition for developers and also full of bugs. So that is different case.
